Screeners

Available Screeners before deciding on an assessment route are listed below but don’t worry, Autastic will guide you appropriately.

We use the below Clinical Screeners to determine a statistical probability of you or your teen having Autism, ADHD or AuDHD.  This process consists of an Initial Session (gathering all appropriate past and present information and then the screener session which includes the screening process, an evaluation of data and a report of findings to send onto CAMHS or a private assessor.

    • Conners 4 (ADHD screener for adolescents)
    • CAARS 2 (ADHD screener for adults)
    • GARS-3 (Autism screener for adolescents & young adults up to and including 22)
    • SCQ – (Autism screener for adolescents & adults)
    • ADC – (Dyspraxia screener for adults)
    • DCDQ’07 – (Dyspraxia screener for kids)
  • Screener Prices:
    • Initial Session – €180
    • Screener Session – €240

Diagnostic Assessments

Assessment Prices:

    • Autism assessment – €2,090
    • ADHD assessment – €1,690
    • Autism & ADHD assessment – €2,590
    • Intellectual Disability assessment – €1,590

Assessment Process

The full Assessment Process includes clinical screeners and a diagnostic assessment:

  1. Initial Session – €180 – Information gathering from adult client or parents of teen client
  2. Screening Session – €320 – Appropriate screener(s), scoring of screener(s), feedback of results and recommendation of appropriate assessment(s)
  3. If appropriate and you want to proceed, you will then be offered our next available date for an assessment with the Chartered Clinical Psychologist – please see above pricing
  4. The assessment is conducted to Best Practice Standards
  5. A draft report will be prepared for you within two weeks
  6. Once it has been reviewed (within a two week time period), you will receive your final diagnostic report which will be recognised by the HSE, Department of Education and Department of Social Protection
  7. Post Assessment Session – (€180) You can choose to have a Follow-up Session, with both Amanda and Greg, to discuss results and recommendations
  8. Where appropriate book in with Amanda for psychological supports

Medication Options

If you receive a diagnosis of ADHD, Autastic can refer you to a Psychiatrist who will assess any requirement for medication and titration period (ensure the appropriate medication and dosage, stabilised over time).
